traditional or westernised?

People say that there is a trend that we are all becoming very westernised.
Traditional things are starting to lose its appeal and value.
Soon one day, all the traditional things will be gone.
Does it seems so?
Today i have a different opinion about this.
Because it's mother's day,
and to respect that grandma doesnt like to eat western food,
we went to a quite old restaurant to have dim sum.
FYI: This restaurant has been ard for very long, coz we have been going there since i was young.
Any occassion relating to grandparents, that will be the ideal place.
We reached there about 9.30 and the queue was super long until it reaches outside the entrance.
already in there is full of noise and ppl walking ard.
perhaps is mother's day, that's why so many ppl.
Because we are of quite a big grp, we had to wait longer for bigger table.
while waiting, i saw alot of families with very young children (perhaps 5 years old and below) and quite a number of families with young teenagers like us.
Is it because it's mother's day that they have to give in?
but i doubt that we are too westernised with the overwhelming response at that restuarant.
we only get our seat at like 10+am, hungry~~~~
the place was like so crowded that it loses it's "True" serving way.
Traditionally, the staff will push the carts with the different types of food around,
and when they come ard your table, then u will start to order.
But today,
it is too crowded for any carts to be pushed ard, (and i tink they cannot cope with the "Sales")
instead of the carts going round, people just rushed to the carts to get their food.
we ate until about 11+, and the queue still haven ended.
i believe all of them queuing is here to eat dim sum.
This shows how popular the restuarant is.
and by the fact that they open at 6am...i tink the staffs work until like siao...=X
Conclusion: i tink there are still many of us who are very traditional, perhaps majority are westernised.
weird friend of dad.
when we are leaving, we met one friend of dad.
She is a sub-con of dad's company.
so dad introduced mum, me and sis to her.
so to be polite, mum will go into some small talk with her.
she was like saying...
"oh you have two daugthers, i thought two sons. ooo..this is your daughter (pointing at me, in fact putting her hand on my shoulder), i notice her just now. I have two sons too, i exchange one with you...."
okay....i didnt realli understood her meaning.
But it sounded like there is some element of "match-making".
Not only i felt that,
even aunt say she sounded as if she wanted to be my mum's future in-law...LOL!!!.
